No. Due to safety reasons, visitors can only enter the Velvet Cave with a tour guide.

The temperature in the Velvet Cave is always twelve degrees Celsius. We recommend that you take this into account and dress accordingly.

Yes, you can enter both the Velvet Cave and the Castle ruins for free with the Museumkaart.

Visitors can park their cars in the multistorey car park Parking ’t Centrum (Daalhemerweg 8, Valkenburg) or at parking spaces on Daalhemerweg. Paid parking applies at both locations. Buses can park at Parking Geulpark (Geulpark 8, Valkenburg) or Parking Holland Casino (Cauberg 28, Valkenburg).
